If you answered yes, we are currently recruiting for Carers Assistants, Senior Carers and Care Coordinators/Admin to join our team, working on a number of flexible shifts.

 

Care Assistants/ Senior Carers (purpose of the job):

Provide personal care and support in line with care plans, respecting users' dignity, individuality, and independence. Work collaboratively with staff from other services for an integrated approach to health and social care. Partner with family and friends in the care process. Contribute to users' well-being and be familiar with and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Provide care in a non-discriminatory manner, considering users’ cultural and social backgrounds.

Person Specification

1. Essential criteria:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).

  • Previous experience in care.

  • Full, clean UK driving license and own car.

  • Ability to escort clients to appointments and other activities.

  • Understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and health & safety.

  • Effective communication, empathy, strong organisational and confidentiality skills.

  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, and organisational abilities.

2. Desirable criteria:

  • Experience with clients with disabilities, or mental health issues.

  • Experience in domiciliary care, especially personal care.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain care standards.

  • Willingness to pursue further training.​

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist with daily living activities, including dressing, washing, and mobility support.

  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and medication management.

  • Provide light cleaning, laundry, and ensure comfort.

  • Contribute to care for sick or end-of-life service users.

  • Promote mental and physical activity through engagement and support.

  • Follow service policies, report health changes, and encourage user independence.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Care Coordinator/Admin (Purpose of the job):

The Care Coordinator/Admin will assist the manager with planning, organizing, and scheduling client meetings and assessments. They will conduct spot checks to ensure care services meet service agreements and required standards. The role requires previous admin experience, essential personal qualities, and a relevant qualification at the appropriate level.

Person Specification:

1. Essential Criteria:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably in a care or healthcare setting.

  • Experience in care coordination, scheduling, and liaising with clients, caregivers, and families.

  • Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, handling sensitive information professionally.

  • Problem-solving ability, especially in client needs and handling issues under pressure.

2. Desirable Criteria:

  • Care-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health & Social Care).

  • Experience in the home care industry or with elderly/vulnerable adults.

  • Empathy, compassion, and teamwork abilities.

  • Resilience and multitasking in fast-paced environments.

  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist the manager with needs assessments and creating care plans.

  • Provide advice and guidance to care workers, conduct spot checks, and report findings to management.

  • Visit service users to gather feedback and address concerns.

  • Investigate complaints and safeguarding issues.

  • Assist with staff induction, training, and assessments.

  • Organize care reviews, implement care plan changes, and liaise with other professionals.

  • Support management with quality improvement and business planning.

  • Engage in professional development and training.

  • Represent the service as an ambassador and collaborate with the team to meet service requirements.
